(this may be hard to follow)

But the process on jumping is to leave the area your currently occupying. Thus here the process of a jump is to leave the ground (the bridge). Thus when the process of a jump is executed he is on the bridge. It is true that Before he jumps he is on the bridge and after he jumps he is in the air. But when the action of a jump is performed the person is on the bridge. It is only through this action and hereafter that he is in the air.

Hehe nice attempt at an answer, but i asked where is he when jumps, not where is he when he is in the process of jumping. Haha ive had so many people trying to tell em the answer by balancing on one foot or something in the pub trying to describe where he is!
