Guitar for 15 years for me....

Music is my primary hobby, and regretfully magic takes second place. It's actually quite frustrating that in my free time (quite the rarety these days) I have to choose between magic or playing music. Especially because for me, magic is all about PRACTISING, while there's more actual PLAYING with music than practising (again, that's because I'm a much better guitarist than I am magician!) :)

Trombone for several years until I was 18. Mainly Jazz and Swing but I was forced into the schools orchestra as well!

I've recently bought a Bass Guitar and am trying to teach myself to play it with limited success!

..keep it going with the self-taught thing though...even when i've taught guitar i always insisted they just do whatever is comfortable and feels right...

just get a book with pentatonic blues scales in it and you'll be able to play just about anything...then its onto your moveable chords and slapping and popping and the such (if you're that way inclinded)...

expansions by lonnie liston smith has one of the all time classic bass-lines in my opinion...

I opted for the other option:

All I play are 2 turntables and a mixer I like to do a bit of turntableism, scratching etc, oh and I am trying to learn the digeridoo. I didn't have the patiance for giutar or keyboards, allthough my wife on the otherhand is very musical, she can play Giutar, Piano and keyboards, Claranet, Saxaphone etc.

I made my wife dissapear just by arguing with her!!!
