Heck, can I get a form Mr Fishdude? I may or may not go but can I get a form anyways?

Fishdude? hhmmmm.

If anyone wants a form - please pm me your name and address and I will put it in the post right away.

Someone asked about Card Collection being there. We are trying and I have been speaking to Clive Leewarden about it quite regularly, however he may be committed to an event at the magic circle also being held that day. It will of course be a big shame as Card Collection have an unbeatable range of accessories, but if they can't make it I can assure you that the other dealers booked will mre than make up for it.

Last year we were unfortunately a little short on dealers. This year we have opened another room just to accomodate the extra dealers I have booked.

I have also now booked Matt Edwards. Matt featured as one of the magicians in the faking-it program (the only one they were sure was a real magician) and is also profiled in this months magicseen magazine. He is a real up and coming star. He also did a small slot at last years convention.

Not managed to fill mne in yet what with job transitions and the like meaning I have no money. However, payday next Friday so Mr Bananafish (or Fishdude if you prefer  ) my payment should arrive in a couple of weeks :D

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

I assume SAE stands for Self Addressed Envelope? I'm not actually too sure what it means though  .

Also, anyone know how much it's gonna cost me from Liverpool Street to Ipswich? And how I would get from Ipswich station to the convention? :? :? :? :?

SAE does indeed mean Self Addressed Envelope, which means an open envelope with your address and a stamp on it, so I can send you the tickets, maps etc.

Your best bet for train fares is to check out the national rail enquiry website. I am not sure of the cost of that journey, but I know that a return to Oxford from Ipswich (via liverpoool street) was £27, so it shoul dbe a lot less thna that.

You will need London (Liverpool street) to Needham Market via Liverpool Street. You will change at Ipswich and Needham Market is a couple of stops on the Ipswich to Cambridge Train.

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/# (although if you can phone them direct you normally get a quick answer)

If you are staying over there is a hotel/guest houses in Needham Market - there is an early post in this thread about that.

Hmm.... I wonder how tall you are because I'm 6 foot and doing a 2 person sybil will be painful for my back haha. I wonder if there's a way to join 2 leno cuts together? Bring your DV cam! :D Oh, and Tom, did you get that lunch for £5 as well? I think I'm just gonna bring a sandwich :D.

Wow! The train fare will probably cost more than the ticket! Wow... lots of money being spent on this for me!

I won't be staying the night though... I'll probably try and get there at around 9:30 to 10:00am and leave before the evening show. Have to get home...

Yeah, I hope the Card Collection will be there, then I can stock up on hopefully some WPTs, Leagues, and maybe even a dragon fanning deck!

Pleased to hear Matt's appearing again, he was superb last year.

Ah, thats why we use the great invention of chairs. =D

stevebo wrote:I wonder if there's a way to join 2 leno cuts together?

I've had a thought and worked out a couple of ways, and when joined it creates a 15 packet cut. =) (17 If you can do the 8 packet version of Leno).

How about joining Damn Straight. :D

stevebo wrote:Bring your DV cam! :D

Well its not a DV cam, but it works for videos and stuff. I should be bringing it, what about yours?

stevebo wrote:Oh, and Tom, did you get that lunch for £5 as well? I think I'm just gonna bring a sandwich :D.

Yea, I chosed baked potato. :P

Yea, I need some regular decks, my last order was 10 cancelled casino decks. Fine for flourishes and practice, but the corners reveal in tricks where you have certain cards face up and certain cards face down.

Lol, Dragon Fanning Decks are good fun, I got one from Great Yarmouth earlier this year. I'll try bring mine with me.

I hope to come in with a lot of decks and items, and leave with lots more. :D

I'm glad that this is right after my birthday, it gives me a much bigger budget than usual. :)

Well... I make the 8 packet leno a 9 packet leno. Not much difference though.

I'll be bringing a DV cam. Hopefully the battery is good because I only have one battery.

Well... I have a job so my income is fairly decent :D.

I checked the national rail website thing and did an arrival time of 9:30 and 10:00 on 22 October. And guess what it said the depature time said after the search? Something like 20:30 on 21 October. I was like... eh?!

Lol, well I went to Dagenham today to check out this college where my brother will be going, and Dagenham is close to Rainham I believe.

It took us about 1 hour and 10 minutes by car, from Braintree. So to Ipswich area should be up to 2 hours.

My brother was thinking about getting the train to this college, but by the time it makes its stop and he has to switch platforms and get a bus. it works and longer and more expensive.

Maybe you could try by car Steve?

I shall bring my camera just in case there is troubles with yours.

As for Leno, I'm trying to learn it left handed so it looks better for a picture, and have the backs facing the camera.

What handed are you when it comes to cards? (Right handers hold the cards in dealer grip in the left hand, and left handers hold dealer grip in the right hand)

Oooh this is gonna rock, If there is enough time I'll try and teach some cuts that you want to do.

Yup! It's about like 10-15 minutes away. I go there on my driving lessons :D.

I'm right handed with dealer grip in left hand. I'm practising leftie work though just to be ambidexterous.

We'll do a jamming session! :D *cough* J5 *cough*

I'll probably find someone who's willing to drive me
