SAR could certainly be used in the manner you describe although it works best if the bag and the SAR are vertical as it would be in a shirt or jacket breast pocket - if you get my drift! The idea is to seem to just place the cards only part way into the pocket and leave most of them sticking out on view until you remove them and show that they have changed. Some specs may be wary of a bag as they seem to guess that such items can be change bags and will suspect skulduggery at that point. A jacket or shirt pocket seems somehow more innocent.

The official leaflet with SAR suggests many alternative locations but it was originally designed for use with a pocket. It's one of those items where your imagination can be used to the max and you'll find ways of using it in your own favourite locations one way or another.

Thanks Mandrake, appreciated that you would take the time to explain.

The 'bag' actually contains my Tarot cards and is handled casually to remove said cards and is then cast to one side just as casually, in full view.

Perhaps I won't now consider using that as the 'foundation' for SAR!
It may be of some other use though, it certainly sounds VERY capable.

Thanks again, it helped.

Cartomancy is a gift, and the power arises from the cards, not the Cartomancer.
However, the gift is granted to the person and not to the deck, therefore the deck is useless to anyone but the Cartomancer.
You and I may share the same deck, but only I will have the power at my will.

You're more than welcome! If the demo vid is still on JBTV it shows how slick and sleek the effect is - or ought to be!
