Tips For The New Guy

Postby r34l1ty » Jul 5th, '06, 14:42

Hello my name is Kevin, I recently became interested in street magic (especially levitation) and I would like to know if there are any opinions on which levitation is best for street performances. I am already familiar with the King and Balducci levitations, these are good I just feel uncomfortable with the limited angles.

Any advice or input is greatly appreciated

Oh yes and I have been thinking about purchasing The Elevator Levitation video, any good? Guess I should look in the Reviews for that.

Thanks,

Kevin

you should check out criss angel masterminds vol 2 dvd it teaches you how to do his levitation he performed in episode 2 of his mindfreak series its better than balducci levitation. Its quite expensive but you should be able to find a cheap one on ebay

Well if he is uncomfortable with the angles of the Balducci and the Kings Rising, he will be REALLY uncomfortable with the on Criss Angel does. You can only do it for 1 person, or a small group at a distance.

I hate the video demo of it with him doing it in a burger king. It is very misleading. Just about everyone there can see the penguins holding him up.

Well I do like the Kings levitation some, I have gotten good at it. I purchased the Criss Angels Masterminds Vol 2 DVD and I must say I am impressed. I don't know about purchasing anything off ebay but I've taken a liking to Criss Angels technique. I wonder how much a local costume designer would charge :x
