Okay, a few things: you would probably be better off earning money through magic by performing it. Most creators will tell you that it really is not as well-paying as you might think, especially if you are only putting a few things out there. If you are going to put something out then it needs to be real-world tested over a long period of time and, most likely, refined too.
Look at it this way: Imagine you've just bought this great new effect from Person X, you go out and do it in the real-world and someone sees straight through it. Annoyed, you email Person X and ask him why he didn't realise that it was such so obvious. His reply is "Oh well I did it loads of times to my brother and he didn't notice anything" - so you can see why real-world testing is crucial.
Whatever you do, so long as you take your time and research and practise and refine it, I wish you the best of luck!
