Hi there...
Seems like Mog's finally found someone who kicked his @ss! (only joking m8!). Just read this thread to see what I was missing, and couldn't help notice that I think all of us here are pretty similar... movies, arts, humour... it's great! Although I'm c*** (not the best) at martial arts - I did Judo training when I was about 13 (seems like many moons ago) and after about two months I got decked like a sack of spuds and ripped a ligament in my knee - which turned me off the idea a tad. Especially as it was an 8 year old girl who slammed me!
Anyway...
There's a real thrill in amazing people with magic, and it's so important that this 'underground' activity is propagated on forums like this - to allow people to speak to other who are 'trainee magi' like us! Also, the deeper you get inside the forum, you'll notice that we're always happy to help *genuine* people.
It's so nice to see threads veering off the magic side of things and seeing into people's personality a bit (although we've been criticised for it!!!

)
I've noticed also (apart from all the socialising!!!) that you guys are going on about Wayne Dobson. Funnily enough, I was thinking of going to see him in June... does he perform with Pasquale, or am I getting the wrong message?
I personally can just about hack Pasquale - and before a certain lady in here verbally assaults me - I admit that I agree partially with Mog that he's a squeaky little git - but pretty damn funny in a sort of bold, genuis type of way... but I DO think Dobson's an unsung British hero. Alakazam magic stocks a whole range of his stuff to qualify this, and what I've seen of him and read goes far beyond the UK media's representation of him as a 'Butlins' style entertainer.
I think you've swung me in that direction, thanks. I was going to see Derren Brown, but unfortunately his gigs are chocka, and there's only been one near where I live that would have been logistically viable - so Wayne Dobson - here I come! I'll probably get a bit sozzled first so that Pasquale actually appears amusing
(Seige pours salt into the wound already made by the mighty and wise Mog)!!!
By the way, NSF (is it all right if I abbreviate, or can we call you Katie???), good luck with your magical path. As you can tell from Mog and me - it sends you a bit batty, but I think you're already half-way there
