Are you sure your windows is genuine? Genuine in Microsoft's case is that only ONE computer has the license to use the software. i.e. if you are using the same copy of Windows on two different computers, already it isn't a legit copy. Mainly because you're both sharing the same CD key. Only way to do this is to buy multiple licenses or another copy of the CD.
www.avast.com and
www.zonelabs.com are good sites to download free security programs. You can pay for the better versions but the personal versions are sufficient. But you are running a small business so I'd suggest buying the business versions. Avast is anti-virus and zonelabs is a firewall program. I'm using only these two and it's all good!
Good luck!
Steve

100% genuine! it was purchased from a shop and activated two years ago! emailed microsoft and it may just be a bug. Nearly fixed everything now. I just cant access any site that has SSL , so this must be the firewall or BROWSER. will look through the manuals

Oh, hang about! This rings feint bells. Have you installed that Genuine Advantege thingumibob? It comes with one of the automatic updates, I think, and it sometimes tells you you've got a snide copy running when it's the genuine article.

More likely you've replaced one of the components of your PC(?) which makes your license no longer valid. This should be fixable by contacting Microsoft.
