Pretty good technically but your display needs to be more natural. I've got mine down where it matches all of my other turnovers, literally just bam and flip it over on top of the deck. Consistency hides sleightage, remember  :D.

so you mean make the turnover more natural looking. If I could do a pinky break so that it did a DL would that be more natural.

Yeah, you got the actual sleight down pat, but it has to look very smooth and natural. Your hand almost looked robotic when you turned it over. Try to consiously relax your hands. Another tip is hold the card with your middle finger on top, thumb on the bottom, and bend the card slightly in the middle. It helps it seem like one card.

make it more consistent. You turn over the cards one way with a dl and another way with a single. turn over the cards the same for both single and dbl.

Also look into a push-off dl or a strike dl. both of these are in my opinion a lot better than the way you do it.

I guess it's ok for a start. I agree with Cardza and edh. Now that you've practiced this technique go for another one, Royal Road and Born to Perform should help. I think it's to early for the push off though.

A strike dl is pretty hard so I would leave that for the time being.

Born to Perform has a nice section on the ACR and he explains a nice pinkie break double...highly recommended, &c. &c.

Consider pinching the card with your first and second finger on the face, and thumb on the back of the card. A brave thing to do is to hold a double and point with it to the spectator while casually talking. It makes it more convincing.

I just put the camea on a little stand and did the tricks like that so it made it a little harder ot do things. I will try that thing you are talking about.

I'd suggest pushing the top cards of the deck to your right with your left thumb ever so slightly, and doing the DL with just the index finger and thumb lifting up the top two cards. Eventually, you won't even need to push with your thumb. That is how I learnt it. This way looks much smoother and more natrual. Keep working at it.

good mate i didnt see the card coming out of line and trust me this one takes ages to perfect so be patient but i did sit infront of a mirror for hours as well try it.

now watch the pinky break one again and look which way u went for the single card and then you went the other way for the DL.

one more thing the whole point of the "pinky break" is to pick up the DL fro the break not the opposite side :)

The other thing is that you don't want to use your thumb to turn over the double, you want to scrape it along the deck. The way you're doing it is alright but it doesn't really look natural - is that really how you would turn over a single card?

I'll see if I can get up a video of what I mean...
