Hi All,
I am well aware that the sharing of copy protected files is in breach of copyright and also illegal however I am unsure as to if this is the case with the sharing of TV performances. I could for example post a link to a video file of a TV show that was previously broadcast in the UK or abroad thus allowing you to view the file. Would this breach copyright? If it does how is it possible to do exactly this with other sites like Google Video and You Tube? I have already posted a link to a You Tube video and assume there is no problem so if I post a link to complete program is that the same thing?
Some advice from the Mods would be good here as I don't want to cause offence, or land myself in the sin bin...
Matt

I made a similar post about a week or so ago. If you are posting the clip on youtube and putting the link here then I dont think the mods mind as long as it doesnt expose anything.

That seems correct, When Tommy Wonder passed away recently i posted a youtube link to one of his shows as a tribute and nothing was said.

Although it is not legal to post tv shows on youtube. People just do it anyway and they usually get removed after a period of time.
