Been in the magic world for about 8 months, and THIS is the very very first trick I see that ACTUALLY uses sleeves! When you think that everyone wants to examine a magician's sleeve after a performance (well, it happens to me quite often). I always taught that sleeving was only a myth to fool spectators ;)!

Guys this is an amazing trick! I think you're all being put off by how difficult it is. If you practise enough, get comfortable with sleeving, and learn the patter you'll have one mind blowing effect. Each step of the effect is taught very well and broken down into manageable sections, and then all put together at the end. Once you've learnt it nothing is left to luck sleeving is 100% reliable if using the same method taught on this DVD.
Overall i would give this effect 9/10 and encourage any of you to get it. It will require a lot of time but once perfected you'll have one hell of a trick which is completely impromptu (I don't go in for learning the gimmicked version, and having to carry around gimmicks)

P.S. If you get ultra smoke 2000 aswell you can really enhance the trick!

I actually heard that the Ultrasmoke 2000 has teh same effect as smoking, so you do actually run the risk of lung cancer!!

No wonder they have so many disclaimers on it!

In fact when you see Justin Miller use it, it seems to me he tries his damnest not to breathe in the smoke, his face turns sour when it is released.. and it looks like he holds his breath!!

Just my observation on it

Just thought i'd add my two pennies to this thread,

Havnt done too much sleeving to be honest but this guy teaches it extremely well step by step.
If you can master this which depending on your ability will take either days or months, you have one hell of a coin routine, and trust me the effect is just as good without the smoke.
Be prepared to put a lot of time and effort into this one and you will reap the rewards

I have been trying to learn sleeving from Bobo's bible.. but man this sleeving concept is hard!! This DVD ( when I buy ) :x c.u.p.s !! will be the first sleeving effect I will see taught.

Is it taught to the extent in bobos book..? The website ( ellusionist ) claims that you dont know sleeving unless you have this DVD  I think that might be an overstatement but how much depth does Justin go into it?

Im finding coin sleights EXTREMELEY hard..well, I have most things down except classic palm which is lookin more natural every day but damn hardto keep the coin there long!! and back palm.. more the placing of it. Sleevings something I am about to give up on but am trying not to..

this is one time where they don't really hype it up...well, not so much ;)

He goes into so much detail on sleeving it is unreal! this is the best dvd i have ever brought - period :P

(well...I like it ;) - though maybe thats because I perform it all the time and get amazing reactions :P)

I.D,

Please dont give up on sleeving :( ,like i mentioned earlier i havnt much experience on sleeving but i too have bobo's bible and when learning i find it a bit overwhelming.

IMHO i would say bobs book has more detail, variations on sleeving but you cant beat watching someone perform this in the flesh :) .

Mr Miller certainley goes into the needed details to perform the sleights required to perform silver dream and that has restored my faith in the art of sleeving.

Now off to buy a decent jacket, paying particular notice to the sleeves

Im still practicing the routine aswell..
and Justin show 2 methods of sleeving..

his own method is more "Stealthy" but the other one he teaching is easier to master in my opinion.. and is pretty much invisible aswell..

As for the Ultra smoke 2000.. I smoke myself.. and arent bothered by the smoke much.. except for the horrible smell :P
but I always use the smoke when I reveal a vanish for example.. and I do this pretty much with my arms far from my body..

and my coat is still very much intact after using it for about 1 month.. I always wipe my sleeves after a day of use though..

anyway, once I master Silver Dream... I'll be the MAN!

( I hope )

do you think the effect it's worth the time you need to learn?

it seems too much a "for professionals" only performance...

If an effect's not worth putting time into it's not worth learning. Simple as.

The artist who does not rise, descends.

i am afraid i will have to respectfully disagree with that statement. I love this routine, and after a couple of months, perform it all the time.

I believe if you like an effect then there is no doubt it is worth putting the time and effort into.

IMHO, We as EN, AH,SH OR WP must be prepared to put days, months or even years into perfecting effects, this is what makes us special
