card stripping..

Interesting revelation...

Sitting quietly on a Sunday afternoon, reading, what do I see in the book 'Expert Card Technique' but a section on card peeling.

It suggests that the best results are done with a dry card...

I must have read this book cover to cover four or five times, and not noticed it.

Then again, buying a pick'n'mix pack of gaffs (double backs, double faces, face-face, blanks) from Cards4Magic seems a lot easier, to be honest.

The two times I've attempted it, I've ended up with OK results, but it's a time-consuming practise.

boiling the kettle doesnt work.... well it does in the sense that you can split the card, but the cards get all wrinkly and pressing them under a pile of books doesnt work
