haha yeah given the rest of the routines I can imagine he does something to the effect of leaning over to the specs left side with them, whilst slipping it in the right pocket. something along those lines anyway. I would just like to see him doing it in action.

I've also heard this, I think its for more of James Brown's coin tricks as opposed to cards for his next release. I could be wrong and I'd love to see him bring out another card DVD.

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

James Brown has been promising a new product but he hinted strongly that it wasn't a DVD. A post just popped up at the Magic Bunny claiming that he's about to release a utility gimmick.

hmmm thats surprising considering a lot of his work is impromptu and based on misdirection. It'll be interesting to see what he comes up with, no doubt I'll buy it

Sounds brilliant!

Shame it's not really aimed at beginners! Would be nice to just view it though!

Cheers!

I'd say after doing the first couple of sections of RRTCM you could preform band up and brainless tarvellers. You may not be able to use the exact method that James uses but with a bit of thought you'll get a very similar effect.

If your looking to buy a DVD you will not go far wrong with this. Could this DVD with 2faced for ideas on gaffed cards and you'll have enough strong material to make a very nice routine :D

Don't forget the 11 pence trick. Easy to do, just needs the right timing and a bit of practice, but gets excellent reactions. I prefer to use a lime for the final load though, it's bigger and drops into the specs hands more satisfyingly than a pot of jam.

Iv used various soft toys, a small resin figurine and pots of jam for the final load, the skys the limit i think!!!

I have seen a video of this new utility device James is bringing out, all I can say is BOY OH BOY do I want one. Imagine clean vanishes, productions and all done in a t-shirt. It is the cleanest looking device I have ever seen for these sorts of effects. Imagine never having to go to your pocket for a SIGNED card to pocket routine, you placed the card in the deck, then with an open and empty hand go to your pocket and pull out the signed card, it is the closest thing to real magic in that respect. Look up The Workeroo on You Tube and you will find the video clip. Awesome is all I can say AND I'm English so that terminology doesn't come out very often!

Check it out!

This DVD was on top of my wish list to Santa this year and it duly arrived on Christmas morning.

I know that just about everything has been reviewed about it already so I will just give a personal impression.

I simply love this. The routines are a mixture of not too difficult to very difficult (by my standards) but are all superb effects done with minimum sleights.

The mainstay of most of the routines is massive misdirection and having the balls to actually do some of the stuff James does under the spectators nose. He proves that with timing, highlights, presentation and the aforementioned balls you can do just about anything as a close up effect.

I have some bits to pick up on to do some of my favourite routines on the DVD but my top favourite has to be Brainless Travellers. This takes the whole Strange Travellers concept and does it with an ungimmicked deck which can be borrowed, opened from new or whatever you like and does it all with a couple of simple moves.

Whilst I say simple moves the clincher is one of those that really requires a cool head and steady hand just to perform it close to spectators.

Overall I would give this 9/10 for both content and value, I only fail to give it 10 because I am waiting on the perfect slight free elephant vanish suitable for table hopping !!
