Anyone know what this means ??

A female friend of mine has recently started seeing a young chap who has more than his fair share of tattoos.

He has a number 13 tattooed on the back of his neck which apparently means something. Errmm ..... *Scratches head*, well I ain't got a clue what it's supposed to mean :?
She's tried asking one or two of his friends, but has been met with the same reply, usually along the lines of, "it's not for me to tell you", or, "you'll find out soon enough".

In my opinion, the only reason she isn't being told what it means, is 'cos it's something dark and sinister - why else would they not tell her? I may be a million miles off, but I'd like to know just in case.

Anyone know what a number 13 tattooed on the back of your neck is supposed to represent?

Can't say for sure what the meaning is behind it... but usually the #13 is noted as just one of those "unlucky" numbers. Associated with bad luck or just being "bad" in general. Might be that it's just a rebelious symbol to this person.

From Urban Dictionary:

'Further to the definition referencing M for Marijuana, this originated from the Hell's Angels, who would have a 13 sown/drawn on their denim jackets if they smoked weed.'

[Because M is the 13th letter in the alphabet]

Thats all i can seem to find :S

It probably represents the 13 years he served in prison for hacking up his last girlfriend

Over here in the states it's generally a tat for a specific gang. Not sure what it means on your end of the world, though.

The reason why people aren't telling you is that they most probably don't know themselves!

13= Unlucky but also stands for M which means Marijuana.

In america 13 stands for 'Mexican Mafia'

Moon, its the first one.

Surely you would want a tally for that rather than a number?

The plot thickens - just found this on a web site:

One other type of tattoo is the "one percenter". This is the outline of a diamond shape with a one percent sign in the middle. I have seen various versions such as the diamond shape with a wolf's head, lightning bolts, the number 13 and the letter M, all in the middle. These are the symbols of the hardest core bikers. Their wives and girlfriends often have the tattoo "property" of such and such a club or person. Often they will also wear this as a patch on the back of their jackets. In a previous conversation with the president of the local Pagans MC, he explained how they had come up with the idea and other clubs adopted it.

The most famous one percenters are: The Hells Angels, Pagans, Outlaws and the Banditos.

Seems like our friend is a hard-core biker, or maybe he's just someone who likes to think he is

I'm trying to get some context here. What could it possibly mean in Burnley? I suspect, given that his friends seem to know what it means but aren't letting on, that it has a personal meaning to the wearer. It could be the age he lost his virginity, or got his first conviction, for instance. I know it all sounds negative, but if they won't tell you, what's the alternative? Also, is it a professional job, or does it look like it was done in prison?
