colour change transpo effect

Postby Mikey.666 » Oct 3rd, '06, 17:20

yo peeps.

i was wonderin, has there ever been a colour change transpo effect?

e.g. a blue deck, with four kings. a ace is placed on the table one of the kings changes to the ace and the ace is on the table, but then they turn to red and the rest of the deck do. kinda like revolver meets delirium.
or somethin similar

any ideas guys???

While not EXACTLY as you described, John Guastaferro has an effect called Tidal Wave Aces that may be something to gather inspiration from.

Effect:

Magician cuts to the four aces. The aces are placed face down in the face up deck - and to make it more difficult to find, the cards are shuffled face up into face down. In a series of moves, the aces are found one by one - leading up to the deck completely righting itself again, with the final ace being the only face down card in a face up pack. The four aces are placed face down on top of the deck, the deck is cut and instantly the deck changes color. The deck is spread and the four aces are pulled out of the center. With a little rub on the arm, the backs of the aces change color to match.

So, this effect is a four ace cutting routine into a triumph style effect with a color changing climax. You can find it on his Brainstorm Volume 1 DVD. Both dvd's are excellent and I highly recommend them. Check it out - might give you ideas on how to pull off the effect you're looking for.

Hyper Transpo by Stephane Lemelin gets my thumbs up. I've reviewed it somewhere. Oh yes - here

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
