Who in the UK is selling Tarbell these days?

Postby Lord Freddie » Oct 14th, '06, 18:25

About six years ago I bought the first four volumes of the magnificent Tarbell Course In Magic and after devouring these volumes (not literally - that would be horrible) I really want to buy the other four.
But it seems that the UK based magic sites don't have these books in stock which seems rather strange when they are classics of magic.

Are they out of print? I hope not, and they are still being advertised in current printings of Corinda's 13 Steps.

I am planning a visit to Davenports in the next few months (hopefully with some extra cash) which is where I bought the first four. Do they still stock them or can anyone point in the direction of a website (UK based) which sells them?

Thanks.

If you can't find the books, try the CD - available for $39 plus P&P at http://www.lybrary.com/tarbell-course-p-34.html

Thanks. I will try the books first as it would be nice to have the whole set to refer to at any time.
If anyone visits Davenports or International Magic and notice they sell them then please let me know.

I know what it's like!
Last time I was there I left with a pen through anything, vanishing cigarette packet, a bat, two books and a video. (That was about six years ago)
Looking forward to visiting again, but my bank balance isn't!

I've had the Bat for 5 or 6 years now and have found it to be very good.
Incredibly powerful though, you can get stuck to things!
I have found it great for the magnetic rings and stopping watches whilst sat down.
For vanishes, it can be noisy but if concealed enough under you sleeves, this can be reduced. Worth having for certain effects.

Yes, very good staff in IM. Just as I was about to pay up they said "Have you seen this?" and showed me something else to add to the mounting pile before me.

Great shop. I often perform at a venue down the same road so may go up earlier next time before IM close!
