Ask Chuck Leach, the guy who invented Raven, he has all the knowledge you need.

The big hint at the empty hand move is in the instructions for the X2 and I also think it's explained on the Raven DVD

I love the wafting of the silk post-vanish that happens a couple of times in the vid. It gives the vanish more power, and is a misdirection to boot!

then the only thing left is the method.

That was a pretty nice vid, very slick. I've been meaning to make a Raven vid myself (I love the raven, hehe), but I don't have a video camera of any kind. Probably my favorite trick with it is turning a coin into, well...anything handy at the time (card, eraser, candy, etc).

if the shop was out then i hope you got a discount on your raven if not and there sending you a video / dvd later on then you will find the open hand move is not on the basic video but on a suplimentry dvd.

I'm still bound by rule three above but... what if you put a paper clip on a piece of folded paper.
put a coin on your palm and vanish it leaving the paper which says iou... using a circular rubbing motion.

remember this is an open forum so don't expose how the raven works.

no problem and that was a premtive exposure warning its so easy to let something slip that will ruin it for others and yourself.

take some time to examine your raven and think about the properties it has, items that would not normaly be used with the raven can be used if you aply the properties of the raven.
with the first tip you can now add bussiness cards and paper items into your hand or swap them and vanish them from a specs hand.

next tip add a bit of bluetac, a tniy bit to the top right were you added the bit you aquire the raven with, here you can add die's and other small objects for changes.
imagine vanishing a coin in a spec hand only for them to see its actualy changed into a die.

try a few ideas out if it works keep an add it to the yes colum and if it dosn't put it in the no colum.

something for you to think about if you wanted to show your hand empty then produce a silk hanky using your raven what would you need to add to do this, don't answer on here as it would give something away just have a think about it and I'm sure a way will pop into your head.

there is a comercial product for a certain other raven like trick that uses this principle so it is do'able.
