Duh...! Of course it's easy for a juggler to throw a few balls in the air and catch them and it's easy for a car mechanic to tune a carborator, but don't ask a ballerina to fix the carborator or a weight lifter to juggle balls (unless they are trained for that also). It's easy to do things you have skills for, but for the average Joe to make the gimmick, takes time and practice :)

By the way Findlay... Why don't you pop into Introduction's and do the proper thing over there?

Point taken. I was just saying I was fortunate to find it easy because of skills learned from another hobby. Nothing more.

There have been some good posts in this thread so I won't write up a complete review but rather just jot down some points.

- I didn't find making the gimmick all that hard. It isn't easy, and it took me some time to find a suitable size for it, but after I got that down actually making the gimmick was relatively easy.
- I was quite surprised at some of the reactions I get when performing this. Rather than raucous shouting and "How did you do that????" type of response, I get more of a stunned silence, where you can just see them thinking "Seriously, how the [censored] did he do that?"
- The DVD was very well made and covered everything there is to know in good detail.

The only negative so far has been that I can't seem to get the cards to pop out quite as much as I would want to, so that lowers it to a 9/10 for me.

Does anyone know if this is the gimmick already made or if it is just the supplies for you to make the gimmick?

Probably the supplies. If you were thinking of buying the gimmick without the dvd, you'll be very disappointed.

It is supplies to make the gimmick.

No, i have the dvd and the supplies... I was just wondering if these were the supplies already made into the gimmick or if they were just the supplies to make the gimmick.

Probably to make; if they had the premade ones available, they would have given them instead when they gave the dvd.

Does anyone else have to use less than a full deck to get this effect to work smoothly?

No, not at all. I'm wondering if your gimmick is not made correctly?
I've performed this several times and always with a full deck :)

The only "correctly" I can think of is size of gimmick. Too small and they snap, too large and they don't develop the tension without a short deck (even Nathan Kranzo in an email to me suggested using about 46 cards for full effect).
If you can get a good result with a full deck, I'd be very interested. Could you pm me with any tips please

All the best

The trick works fine with a full deck but I've found that removing 5-10 cards makes it even better, especially the card rise out of the box. The tabled spread card rise seems to be relatively unaffected, at least that's my experience with it.

Yep - folks right across the board are reporting that the first, boxed, rise works much better with 5 or 6 cards removed from the pack, and this is exactly what I'm finding too.

Having used my complete first load of 'stuff', and getting ONE good gimmick out of it ( ), I sent away for a couple of refills, and can confirm that these are NOT pre-made - just more of the same :x

DARN my enfeebled fingers...and why do they only sweat when I'm attempting to make these things?!!!

I agree... this can be frustrating!
By the way Rob, why don't you pop in the introduction and do the proper thing there?

Forgive me, but I don't understand what all the problems are here
If you can *** * ****, then you can make the gimmick (surely) ???
Or am I missing something here?
