Street Hypnosis Deck

Postby Lord Freddie » Nov 27th, '06, 13:40

Anybody know if this http://www.themagicgadget.co.uk/Street- ... -1172.html is any good?
It may not be as good as it seems and close to Kentonism to be worth the money.

oh this to me was a waste of money. for the price of it you get a cd and a deck and he kinda takes you through this trance like state thing which i must say is a bit weird and the guys voice is mesmerising. to me a have no use for this and if i can find it we could maybe cut a deal if i can find the cd for it. :) however you may find it more helpful for youself depending what you do!

Thanks, the description doesn't exactly describe what the effect is.
Is it self hypnosis? If it requires a CD to be listened to, I don't understand where the "street" bit fits into it.
I already have (and have used) Kentonism. Is this similar?

not like kentonism at all. in fact its not even an effect, the cards are a tool to work with. it helps you with your hypnotic language. the cards that come with it have key words on them and also has a sentence to help you put it into context. the cd is meant to help you but to be honest i didnt have a clue what the fella was going on about. i even rang him and he said he was doing a hypnosis seminar if i wanted to go for 400 quid for a few days, but i declined as very poor and not stupid!! im thinking that the johnatan royal stuff might be ok but i here warnings bout that kinda stuff too. to be honest i find that hypnosis is really hard to do. derren if your out there give us some advice please.
there is nothing street about the street hypnosis deck. sorry. outta 5 i would give it a big fat 2!!!

Thanks, you've answered all I need to know!
Deeper and Deeper by Jonathon Chase and Ormond McGill's book are the best ones. I like to read and study all I can about hypnosis but there is a lot of rubbish out there. This deck sounded intriguing but the explantion of what it does was unclear.
You've saved me forty quid! Thank you. :D

If you're looking to get into hypnotic language patterns, then "Hypnotic Language" by Barton and Bodenhamer is an excellent and accessible introduction. I got mine from Amazon.

Thanks Tomo, I have a few books on the subject but not this one.
I shall pop over there and get myself one.

The Street Hypnosis Deck is primarily a tool for learning Ericksonian language patterns for use in hypnotherapy. It's not likely to be of much use for stage hypnosis.
