I wear a regular wedding ring every day, and if I handle coins, it clinks.

Not an unusual sound for someone wearing ring!

If you are really concerned, carefully wrap decent quality 'no-fade' Sellotape around the ring nice and tightly, this will deaden the chatter.

I've been using a PK ring for 'Raven' style vanishes for some time, and being honest, it always makes a sound. But... I manage to cover it with eye-to-eye misdirection.

This isn't one of the main uses I'd recommend this gimmick for anyway, it has far more use for other effects which don't have chatter as a side effect.

There isn't one but if you buy your ring from Merchant Of Magic they supply a booklet with it that has additional routines. You get two with the actual ring but MoM supplies another booklet with quite a few in it.

The creators of the original PK ring have put together a DVD which is out soon.

For other ideas, try something like 'the Wiz'...

One of the big problems I keep hearing form folks centers on size issues... the Black's ring not only looks more like a real ring, it comes in actual finger sizes just as if you went to a jeweler. Too, it is not known to shatter, in much the way the Wizard Ring is known to do... in fact, it has a very distinct "ring" to it, just like a nice quality silver wedding band would have.

You can get more info about it by going here... http://www.stevensmagic.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=8108

Mine is a bit loose on my ring finger too, but I usually wear a smaller ring above it to keep it in place.
The PK ring does have it's uses and when some thought is applied you can come up with some great ideas and also use it to make routines you always do a bit easier.
It's a tool rather than a trick in itself, but the watch stopping has shocked and entertained many since I have got it.

There are many threads on TM about Raven and any one of them might give you an indication of the answer, use the Search function and see what you can find  !

Ordinary nail varnish will do the trick

I used to wear mine everyday, until it developed a crack, I also had to use clear nail varnish to coat it, it is great for watch stopping and coin through bottle using UK 1 pence piece, coin palming, and various mentalism effects, when used with shims!

I will definatly be purchasing another one soon

I made my wife dissapear just by arguing with her!!!

Just started playing with one of these fellahs and was wearing it the other day in York. As I entered a book shop I got a bit of a shock as the ring vibrated frantically! No alarms sounded but as I exited the shop it did the same thing again, a very freaky feeling indeed!

Has anyone else had anything similar happen?

Yeah... microwaves love the ring!

The radio transducers in some shop theft systems do it.

And so does putting your hand near a running microwave oven.

I've been assure it's perfectly safe, however. Especially if cooked thoroughly and allowed to cool before consuming.

I love my PK ring. I'd love for my daughter to have one, but even the smallest one is big on me and enormous on her.
So if any PK makers are listening "MAKE A JUNIOR VERSION PLEASE" or at least a couple of smaller sizes.
oh and I don't get a green finger either.
