A few great pointers I put together.

I would just like to say I am new here, and I was brainstorming my magic tricks and I came up with a few pointers, im sure youve already read these but its always good for a second time.

------------------------Here is what I came up with-----------------------------

First of all lets cover some basic strategies and topics to think when you are performing or doing anything to do with Magic.

1. The end result: The end result is you revealing the main part of your trick which can be several things, for example turning over a card which is their selected card.
2. Build up: When your performing a trick and your about to make your final end result of the trick and lets just say as an example that their card is on the top and your about to turn it over. DO NOT just plop it over fast and simple. This makes your showmanship brutal. It may make your audience still question themselves how did he do that? But never do it this way because…
• You could get WAY more reaction from the audience.
• Turning over a card (their card) slower builds a lot more
Tension.
• If you end the trick by turning it over fast and not really care about the end result YOU will not feel as good about the trick or even the audience.
• Turning a card over or ending your trick in a good way always shows the audience that you know what you’re doing and that you know your stuff. Once after that trick, they will ask for more tricks which will boost your self confidence for your upcoming trick.

Have fun when doing your trick, be happy, and be loose. You will always feel better doing a trick in a good mood then doing it in a bad mood. Put out your best performance, it is so easy to mess up a trick so don’t go into a situation when thinking “This is my best trick I don’t even need to try it will come naturally”. Even though that statement is correct, like I said messing up tricks is very easy. Most people are not prepared for messing up a trick, they do not even have a backup trick. This is where you wake up and find a back up trick to perform when you do mess up.

Lastly… Practice.
“Practice as if you are the worst, perform as if you are the best.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope to get some replies to this.

Good tips, although you should stop by the introductions thread and tell us a little about yourself.
