Without giving anything away, when i preform the coin vanish using the raven, the coin always ends up falling off...if you know what i mean. Idk how to explain this without giving too much away lol..

Maybe the coin doesn't have the required properties.............

depends where it falls off? If it is the right coin there should be no reason for it to fall, unless you are doing it too fast. If you flash it over at 100mph then it hasntgot time to vanish cleanly... go a little slower

Ihate the raven, ok i know that dont help but I think i am right in thinking that I.D is an exponent of the raven. So I would go with what he says.

At the end of the day, thisis the sort of thing you would want to gracefully... that way they cant think anything fishy is going on as you do everything so cleanly, so gracefully, it rules out anything closely resembling what actually goes on.

One thing I always say aswell to the spec is this.. ''Right, you are probably going to feel this happen.. but I want you to try and see this.. watch real close..''

I started using this after a couple of people asked was it a .. ( what it was ) .. of course you can show your arms and sleeves empty but I didnt want them to have a reason to ask. I dont know why that line works Im not a pyschologist but it does.

I think i was a tad dissapointed when i opened the box and saw what it was. Also the set up and getting in and out of it I have never performed it for real people so i dont know the reactions to it. dose the set up justfy the reactions. Sell it to me I.D sell it to me like Mark Lewis sells a svengali deck. dont actually sell me one because i already own one.

The setup totally justifies the reactions.. it took me about 10mins to do the 'hard part' but I have trouble with anything in that area... it shouldnt take that long.

the rest took 30 secs.. set up in a performance situation is around 3 secs.. you can show ur hands empty ( not drawing attention to it ) ask for a coin.. by the time their hand is in their pocket your set. they NEVER notice the raven, there is a really cool move where you actually show both sides of your hands while the raven is set up, its beautiful

My performance usually goes along the lines of.. ask for a coin (10p).. using the raven make the coin dissapear ( false transfer for a special coin ). I do the 'empty hand move too' which really sells it. I say' i know what your thinking, theres somthing im using right?? WRONG!!'' show I have nothing up my sleeves.. I keep them rolled up.. then I say'' give me another 10p Ill show you.. they give me another 10p.. I say ' You shouldnt try to trick me... cold I have a real 10p please?' they look blank. '' this one cant be real look ''.. I do coin bite.. '' see, mind you im a magician so ill see if I can make this work.. then do revolution by Kevin Parker... get rid of the 10p.. i pull out 'my own' 10p ( really theirs ) out of my jacket pocket ' Here.. take my 10p I seem to have lost yours.. as they go to take it back they realise there is nothing in my hands. 'Oh dear.. I need some more change for the next part.. I tell you what.. just give me some small change.' Normally they pull out their change and I take a 1 or 2p.. check its your coin, that I havent swithced it' Then I set up raven in 3 secs.. perform raven for a second time.. as I think it is safe to 'second it' at this point.. '' I think we should stop there. I have no idea where your coins are and I dont want to take all your money!!''

They dont normally ask for it back either.

What do you think of that? thats the only coin routine I know.. as im still plodding through Bobos book and not too great at auxilary coin sleights just yet??

Anyway BUY the raven.. or at lease use it put the 30mins into it it will take you to learn how to use.. and a little practice time

Any suggestions to prevent this?

Good routine there Mr I.D ah i just had a thought reading your thoughts on combining effects. Use a scotch and soda ah the penny has gone now the half doller to..

How much is the special coin? bout £10 or something, i was looking for a coin bite (but one you could put in a vessel to transport beverages in)

I would make it more simple borrow the coin do the swtich pull it out of me pocket bite it . Ah and if you dont want to do revolotion coin vanish you could do Sankeys one its etiher on Revoloutiony coin magic or anytime anywhere. The coin appears a dissapears then totaly goes.

But yeah you sold it to me, Well only on a short term lease so far!

yeh.. i thought this might be the case..

get a bigger coat

or .. when you 'release' bend your hand ever so slightly inwards.. this tightens your wrist against your sleeve and creates more 'slack'.

Any one got No Smoking? excelelnt routine with lighters, well you could use the little bird to vanish the last lighter instead of using another methood.

Tommrow i shall be playing with my raven me thinks also looking for them speical coins.

Is that the one where he dissapears a coin completely when wearing a t-shirt.. his hands ARE empty! thats cool, i might try and bring that in somewhere.

Yeh try it.. combine it with other effects to rule out them second guessing which can easily happen but you shatter that thought with different methods. When you then come back to it, they wouldnt dare suggest that a second time!!

I dont know mate.. Ive done it before when ive done raven.. then got bare chested... 4 pack out and all and done revolution to follow.. works
