Without knowledge of either of the effects, it's hard to judge. However - Poker Faced requires no set up (the spectator can shuffle and deal the cards themselves - you never need to touch them), and there is no force. Therefore, I would say that while the effects are the same, the methods sound different.

Thank you for that Demitri.
A freely chosen card from a freely shffled deck, mixed with a few other random cards all done by the spectator with no involvment by the performer except to merely devine the card.
Sounds perfect or I have missed eomething?
