Ok Justin

I give up on this. Each time I post offering assistance, a new posting is added with more reasons why you feel people should not buy Hypnotrick. As a rule I follow the stance most dealers prefer, and do not comment on reviews. However, I REALLY like Hypnotrick and feel you have very unfairly hammered it, without giving it a proper try.

I think you feel £11.99 is too much to chearge for an effect in booklet form, which is a pity as so many great effects are out there in that format at far more money

I really don't feel you attempted to make the gimmick properly as you were already hacked off about the price:

Justin wrote... 'I made a gimmick with the materials I could find and performed it'

My main gripe is that the thing is so awkward to make and you need materials which are not normal household items

You did contact us to say you were unhappy that you needed to buy about £5 worth of craft materials you can get almost anywhere to make the gimmick and we offered advice and a solution to help you resolve the problem you were having.

You phoned up and asked for special discount prices on books, which we explained we could not do.

You then posted a rather insulting ccomment on our site which exposed the method and claimed we had conned you!?!? I would not really call that a review to be honest with you Justin.

After we took this down you posted a review on this site claiming we had conned you.

I really do not like to have to highlight this, but you have taken this into a public forum.

At the end of the day, for every few hundred copies sold of any effect, there will always be a few people that do not like the process involved in the method, or that don't feel they will be able to present it as it should be. I love the effect WOW, and another forum voted it the best effect of 2006, but if you read the forums, there is a lot of critisism too.

I sell thousands of different magic tricks from my shop, and my sales team help customers choose effects that they think are right for them. I expect many of the readers of this thread may have also spoken to me or one of the sales team and have been recommended effects. Each can judge the quality of this service personally. When you were having problems accessing your account from you PC at work, I spent several hours helping you (including working on your account access at home in my personal time.) With each attempt your responce by email was to complain and threaten that unless it was resolved right away you would be buying from another magic shop, I did not complain then, but Justin, I do draw the line when you claim I conned you with hypnotrick,

£11.99 for the price? well what price do you think is fair for someones hard thoughtout and researched effect, the marketing and printing of the product and royalties etc etc. £3? £6? how about at cost price? If we had decided to release it on DVD it would have been a lot more.

Hypnotrick has been selling worldwide for some time now and is being used by many professional magicians internationally, with fantastic feedback.

I have no real problem with one person filling up a forum thread with the reasons why they don't like one of our effects, but I do object to unfair comments which are perhaps the result of a different agenda.

I hope everyone reading this thread will see that I have tried to resolve your issues as best as I can. Each to their own at the end of the day my friend. I stand by my reputation as a magic dealer and professional magician. I recommed Hypnotrick. Readers can make their own conclusions.

BTW

My offer to resolve this issue with you still stands, give the shop a call and we will sort this out for you. I still want you to be a happy customer and value your business, despite this situation.

Regarding the discount books, you stated on the phone you could get them for me cheaper than usual so I took you up on this and found you couldn't.
I feel that my opinion on anything I have paid hard-earned money for is as good as anyone elses and was rather peeved when my reviews were deleted from your site whilst glowing ones were kept. If you look at, for instance, www.magictricks.co.uk, the negative reviews are there for all to see as well as the good ones which allows customers the freedom to form a balanced opinion on which to purchase something.
Sorry I didn't like Hypnotrick, others may like it but I thought it was very poor. An opinion to which I am entitled to.
I can't understand why there has not been a review here previously for this if it is the best-selling sensation it purports to be.
As I said before, all the other products I have purchased from MoM have been great and your service, delivery wise and on the phone is second to none, but after buying it and reading the little pamphlet I just feel that Hypnotrick is well... rubbish.. and wouldn't recommed it to anyone.
This is not said to offend and sorry if I have, but I would rather be honest than lie and say "Wow! My friends all fainted! It's amazing!" when it's not.
I feel that people should have a rough idea what they're getting for their money. Again, sorry if it's offended you but I wasn't impressed at all with it.

I think we've reached the point where this topic needs to be put to rest, there are issues on both sides which may or may not be resolved but the aspects seem to have been thoroughly aired by now.
