What would you recommend?

If you could recommend one trick, or book or anything assosciated with magic, what would it be?

Only reason is because I need to extend my performances and find out new effects and sleights I can use to enhance my magic. I'm talking about books, DVD's, downloads, anything you recommend that can help me out.

I know it's a little vague but I'm desperate

Oh, and I just ordered RRTCM and need to find out if it really is a great book that people say it is. Is it more for beginners or spread over all magicians?

Thanks a lot for your help.

It is for beginners and get more involved as you progress, but it is best to go through it chapter by chapter and with the relevant practice you will be delighted with your progress.
I recommend Mark Wilson's 'Complete Course In Magic' and also the Tarbell books which, although they are very old, contain some excellent tricks and are easy to follow.

I'd also recommend a magic course that teaches a variety of magic, not just cards. There's a sticky for beginners that reommends what to buy when starting out so my recommendation is to read this first.

good luck.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
