Now there's a man who knows how to spend some quality time in front of the TV.

Pink and Fluffy because today I lost my house keys, then after sending emails to everyone, checking all the security desks many times etc. I got a call from some guy who had picked them up off the street - he lived in one of the THREE houses of which I had desperately shoved a note through the letter box...!

RELIEF! In celebration I ordered that coin magic from Merlins :)

Pink and fluffy because I just finished Derren Brown's Tricks of the Mind, a thoroughly enjoyable read.

That book is bloody brilliant. Some of the anecdotes had me in stitches.

Yeah, the rhino is an awesome story, I also particularly liked the "Tarantula scare" just because I can imagine Derren and his mate stood there under an archway for a whole day convincing people that the spider made of pipe cleaners was real and actually moved across the ceiling.

The whole thing entertained me immensely and despite the fact that it was mostly a beginners guide to a number of things I already know about it still proved incredibly useful and at the same time it greatly increased my respect for the author.

I recently ordered the Tricks of the Mind book off Amazon and it came today. I've just read the very first page, a third person mini-history of who Derren is, and I'm already weeing myself.

"Derren went on to study law and German at Bristol University and fell in love with the city. This was a time when marriage between man and city was still frowned upon..."

This is going to be so good!!! I guess that makes me feel pink and fluffy. :)

I'm reviving this thread because I'm pretty pink and fluffy this afternoon. Had an exam this morning - it went ok, but the main reason I'm P&F is that this afternoon I totally nailed the perfect hollandaise sauce. There's a brilliant if somewhat unconventional method on YouTube, and by golly it works.

Poached egg on toast with asparagus and hollandaise for lunch anyone?!
