do you think that any layman is going to pay that much atention to the colour of the ink?...

answer......

Nah.

never in a million years, providing the routine you come up with is engaging enough.

pretty sure I read some where that the ink will show up (although a bit faint) if you cool the ink down (put it in the freezer) and it should come back

not sure how that is useful but im sure one will find something it do with it!

Dale...

You took it out of context...

There's a few ideas which involve a lot of writing/drawing on the same page, some of which is to disappear.

The Frixion pen writing looks so different when amongst other writing from a regular pen that yes—it's noticable. No matter how engaging the routine.

Becuase you could put a message on your business card before hand, get rid of it then perform another trick with the same card(such as an ice cream cone that melts or something) Then tell the spec to keep the card, put it in the freezer and the "icecream" will come back.

Not only does the icecream come back but so does your message which could be as simple as "give me a call if this works" or it could be some great prediction you made before hand. That really will freak them out

Just one use for reapearing the ink, I'm sure there are loads more

So let me get this straight. You started this thread, then when you got all the information you wanted plus a little more, you go and make a suggestion of deleting the thread so others can't view it? I'm thinking that is a little hypocritical.

And before you tell me how you said it jokingly I am a firm believer in "many a truths are spoken in jest".

The following routine I use stems from a discussion about these pens with Agecroft at a Leeds meet 3 or 4 months ago. I take a piece of paper from my wallet, fold it and have the spectator hold it. I then force a card and explain that the piece of paper contains an advanced prediction of the card they chose.

When they open the paper they cannot read it because it looks like heiroglyphics. A quick wave of a lighter beneath the paper and some of the ink instantly dissapears revealing their chosen card. Spectator impressed.

I then say that if they liked it to take home the paper and put it in the freezer for an hour and the prediction will return to heiroglyphics. They take it home, put it in the freezer, and it does. But the paper also contains my phone number which was not there previously.

Simple but effective.
