Gotcha - I didn't even know there was a viddem.

It was a guess. It makes the trick no stronger or weaker if it was correct. Well maybe a little stronger if it was correct, but certainly no weaker if it wasn't.

Does that makes sense.

I still use it, and looking at the date I bought it 5 years ago! Theres not many things i bought way back then that is STILL in my repetoire!

Many thanks,

Yes - but the trick is stronger for it. There is no reason I can think of why you would want to swap in your own cards.

Thanks, I have a handling idea with it..I'll get it and see if it works out well or not! If it does, I'll PM you what I have done with it..May fall flat on its face like many of my "Good Ideas"!
Cheers all the same though!

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I've only recently got this. I've been meaning to get it for ages. (My wife gave me some money for my birthday and I decided to get this.) What a brilliant effect this is. Can't wait to try it out.

Just a quick thought, about showing magician's set of cards and not the spec's, what you could do is as seige says is do it blind for both, and have another set of ESP cards to show the spec what ESP cards look like. You can say that you don't want either of you to be influenced by having sight of the cards and what possible order they're in.

Any way, lovely effect. :D

Hi talkmagicguy,

I've performed it twice and each time the spec had their mouth open, with confusion on their face. 8) I normally try out things on my wife first, and she was shocked, which is a good response.

I've been looking at ESP effects and have my eye on this one. I see Alakazam now have an ESPerfect Project DVD; it is nearly double the price of the original packet trick, but does include other effects and a DVD. Might have to look into that.

Hi Replicant,

Have just seen on http://www.cards4magic.co.uk that this is priced at £10.00 (!) See http://cards4magic.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_Small_Tricks.html

Not sure if this is a mistake, but the photo is the same one that I've just bought.

Yeah, I spotted that; I don't think it's a mistake. Bargain or what?!

I have noticed, though, that their pricing can go off the scale sometimes; have a look at the price of their Vernet marked ESP testing deck. Bear in mind that the going rate for this deck is about £7-9 elsewhere. Now check out their price!

 Blimey! I did a search on there for the Vernet ESP deck and got two prices for the same product!

I placed an order for this from cards4magic seeing what a bargin it was. When it arrived it was the cards and a badly photocopied single sheet of A4 paper with a copyright of 2002 on it, NOT the advertised DVD that is described in their product description.
I have sent an email to them regarding this and will let you know what response I get.

I got home from work to find a message sitting in my inbox from cards4magic. They've apologised, said that it was a genuine mistake and are sending me out a DVD copy along with some money to cover the return of original despatch.
I rarely get angry because of mistakes - they happen from time to time. What I do get angry about is when they're dealt with badly (one reasonably established firm who, for now, will remain nameless I will not be spending another penny with after their childish debacle and personal insults towards me recently over an order discrepancy). Cards4magic have acted quickly, covered everything that needs to be covered and are shipping me the correct item. That gets a big thumbs up from me and they have a happy customer who is going to remember the quick, efficient service rather than the original mistake.

That's good to hear. Can't say I'm surprised, though. Clive and Matt at Cards4Magic have always been very efficient when dealing with my enquiries, so it's great to hear that you got a satisfactory response. Let us know what you think of the DVD! :D
