Is it called something different, because I can't find it in there.

I have the Dover edition, which is a reprint of the second edition from 1944. It's still on page 128, in the "Sundry Sleights" chapter.

I'm assuming that you don't know an MT then Lady, or is this meant to be humourous?

There is a good explanation on the "school for scoundrels" website. Search for scoundrels + photos and click on the video link. The MT is demoed and explained.

Thanks for the advice people. I think I've got it up to "time for some video practice" level now.

Leave me alone, I'm having a bad day

You weren't having a bad day. Some snotty replies prove some members have no sense of humour. Entertaining includes fun. Some acts must be as exiting as watching paint dry. If mandrake had posted it, would you have made the same comments?

Her comments were better than some which verged on exposure. Could you look again at your explanation and sarcastic comments to see if they need editing Seige.

scoundrels website

Re my earlier post.

The website used to be
http://www.scoundrelsphotos.com/
but it isn't running. Google cache shows it was running on 14 Feb 07, so maybe it is just a temporary breakdown (hopefully, since a lot of excellent stuff is on there)

Thanks for sticking up for me, it's appreaciated.

But it's all water under the bridge now, I'd like to just leave it be.

Re my earlier post: the excellent website with videos from s4s is up again. The MT explanation is found here:

It can also be found in Scarne's treatise on Three Card Monte, recently added to Learned Pig.
