Hello from a Seattle Magician

Postby jacobh » Feb 22nd, '07, 06:37

Hello everyone!

I'm a part time professional magician performing around the Seattle area for the past 15 years. www.beyondmagic.com I do both close-up and stage magic. I do everything from birthday parties, to business banquets, schools, fairs, etc. I got my first magic set when I was 5, but didn't get that serious about it until just before I was a freshman in high school, and I started going to the magic shop all the time, and devouring any magic book that I could find. I met up with another magician my freshman year in high school, and we started doing some magic shows together. I’m currently performing magic with my lovely wife Marti as my assistant and apprentice.

In my spare time, I also compose and record music, which I sometimes use for my magic shows. www.gravityevasion.com Creating music actually occupies more of my free time lately than magic does.

Anyway, this seems like a pretty active and useful place, so I thought I’d say hi! :) It seems I'm on the other side of the pond from most of you, but that's what makes the internet so cool! 8)

This is Marti Hargrave :) I'm a magician apprentice, and I'm excited to re-learn magic. I knew a few tricks with rope and cards when I was a child. It can be fun performing with your spouse. I just wanted to say hi to all of you.

Marti Hargrave Peace

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

I've seen them a few times, but I can't say I'm a huge sports watcher. But wait a minute, I thought this was a magic forum? ;-) Thanks for the welcome everyone!
