I don't know whether this will help, but I'll offer it up. I don't have this effect, but Alakazam just now sent me a promo email about it and The Grail. I had a look at the video:
http://www.alakazam.co.uk/demos/ZENNER_ADVERT_NEW.wmv
which, from the title, I'm assuming is a new version (I haven't seen any other one). I nodded to myself and said, 'Ah, yes, I see. Clever.' The method seemed pretty 'obvious', but the effect is nice. I then glanced at TM to see if anyone had talked about it. (I think the chap who suggested writing on the back of the cards with a Sharpie rather than using those fiddly, distracting and unnecessary stickers was right.) The thing the performer does at the beginning might have been introduced in this demo to address the problem of 'the suspicious initial deal' people were mentioning, I don't know.

Anyway, if you haven't seen it, watching this performance - and knowing what you don't see in it - might help clear up whatever is puzzling you.

Hi I bought this on ebay and the DVD doesn't work. Which is uber rare.

All the props I got seem OK, and the ESP cards are red bicycle, which is my colour and playing card design of choice.

However, with all the necessary I still can't work it out without the DVD.

My question is: I think this is the Zenner-Tech 2.0 version - it includes a DVD. However, prior to this I believe the original version would have just had printed instructions. I know Alakazam sometimes simply put instructions as a PDF on the disc, but I'm not sure if this is the case here.

Can owners of Zenner Tech let me know if they received written instructions provided in a physical format with their purchase?

I will have to fork out on shipping costs to US to return... unless anyone would be kind to pass me on a PDF or written instructions.

For those who know me, I'm not some 15 year old Ellusionist who's fishing for reveals, just incredibly frustrated....

Anyone?

As an owner of Zenner Tech myself, I gave up with the instructions for the same reasons and haven't touched it since.

I'd be interested to know too.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
