The effect itself was alright. The use of the lighter to "soften" the glass was a nice touch - but without patter, it makes almost no sense at all. You obviously have sound, you should work up patter to go with this.

Why is your arm at your side? Your spectators will say the same thing as they watch you perform. Keeping your arms at your sides isn't a big deal, but you almost go out of your way to announce that you're doing so. There's no reason why you can't display the items with both hands, which would make everything seem more open and fair. You do the same thing at the end of the effect which just screams "Look, I'm hiding something over here - don't look"!

Work on the presentation. You have the handling pretty much worked out - now it's all about how you perform the effect.

I can now see why the promo vid was edited in the way it was.

Another smaller point would be, if perofrming to just the camera, use a clear bottle instead of a green beer bottle, just makes everything clearer and can really sell the illusion.

This effect looks cleaner when the bottle doesn't move so much.
Aso take the labels off the bottle, they're not needed.
And "be natural". Film yourself not performing the trick, but just as if you were really slamming a cap into a bottle, then compare the two performances.

Everything I would have to say has been said. The biggest complaint is the arm to your side. Its unnatural.

But, some other questions to consider. Why is the bottle cap bent? What was that clicking sound when you held the bottle AFTER you had already dropped the cap out of it. And why do you need to put the bottle cap inside the bottle to begin with?

Doesn't mean that any one of these things you did was wrong... maybe just something that needs some kind of justification. Verbal or not. Patter would correct some of these.

Otherwise you are on a great track, keep it up.

The way you barely used your arm, any specs will call you out on hiding something in your hand.
