I hope so it looks great, a smash and stab with a good story behind it.

I know I could order it direct, but since being stung by customs on another purchase its put be off buying from the states!!!
Touch wood, I have never been stung on any outlaw product. They also arrive within a few days, which in itself is a miracle these days. Don't let the fact that it comes from the US put you off.

Ok guys this little baby turned up today June 5th thats not bad
considering the UK and USA both had a bank holiday ( Federal Holiday )
This took about 10 days
Also for those thinking of purchasing the posty delivered it with no
problems i.e. no problems with it looking like a weapon or any extra
import tax on my wooden box worth $10 ( thanks Rick )
So here's what I think:-
A nice wooden box ( A perfect custom size so it doesn't rattle )
a small supply of 22 3oz dixie cups. Thats enough for 7 performances
With Smash and Stab I got 4 cups ( so I couldn't do a full practice until I sourced some cups )
The Scorpion its self a very nasty looking thing indeed it has an almost homemade 80's football hooligan weapon style to it. Thats not a critisim it looks like it was designed to inflict horrific injuries.
Does it work ? I've had a 2 minute play with my PK Pro Wizard
This will take some fine tuning as the cup shoots away from my hand its that strong will be messing around with positons tonight.
As I already have one of its closest rivals Smash and Stab I have to say
Scorpion wins hands down for the following reasons
Cheaper
More suitable for a story
Looks Nastier
Absolutley No tells
Less than a quarter of the size of S & S with all its bits
comes with a good supply of cups
All of the above I shouldn't have said because I want to sell my S&S which cost me about £95

Frustratingly mine's gone back to the sorting office because no-one was in when posty came so I'm going to have to wait until Saturday when I can go pick it up. I was wondering about the cups. Can you use any old cups when you run out?

yes any cup can be used as long as you can crush it under your palm
It comes with 3 oz "Dixie" Brand cups which you should
be able to get online.
I think myself once I start running low I'll nip to the local
chippy and get some Mushypea / Bean / Gravy
polystyrene tubs they should work fine and have a better sound
to them then paper cups

yup I now have a couple of stacks of Mushypea / Gravy containers
These work perfectly no see through issuses and they do make a
nice pop crunch when then are flattened

Incidently I did a few web searches for Makibishi and Caltrops ( the european version ) trying to get a bit more historical info for the back story and was pretty shocked and stunned to find these still on sale around the world

http://www.defensedevices.com/caltrops.html

how to make a small fortune,
start with a large one and
get addicted to magic

card and coin tricks where never my calling. but god does this aspect of magic seem wonderfull.

Invizmed there is a reason its called the Outlaw site
Ricks a bad man who takes your money
He just doesn't do it with a gun he does it with lovely lovely things.
I'm in the same boat as you, Looked at Tom's review because
he's brutally honest with his reviews.
Needed to buy scorpion ordered it had a good look at the site and found
someone has ordered Reflections, whitechaple and UK sinister
Now I just need to stop thinking about the relic.

I actually did scorpion for a Pyschology lecturer he's sure its done with NLP

Heh. Mine's arrived and it is indeed a beautiful piece of work. I'm looking forward to its first outing and using it in anger so to speak.

It occurred to me that it would look quite spectacular if, given the right table, you got the spec to set it up, get the info you need in the normal way and then removed shoes and socks, climb up on the table and walk across the table, crushing the (right) cups with your bare feet as you go.

Has anyone found any other sources of 3oz cups in the UK? Paper espresso cups might work?

Having just received mine yesterday I wanted to add my praise to the comments already made. This is a simply gorgeous bit of kit, although obviously not the cheapest prop you will ever buy, it really does feel like value for money.

My main passion in life (yes, I confess even more so than magic) is my Martial Arts. I have trained in many styles over the years and currently hold a 2nd Dan in 'Tang Soo Do' (a Korean style of Karate) for which I train 4-5 times a week. Although mainly empty hand, we also train with various traditional oriental weapons so this prop will give me a lot of fun at the social events. I'll just have to make sure none of the other guys try their own 'Ninja' skills on it! hehe!

Highly recommended, a prop to keep and treasure. Here's another bit of mentalism for you... I predict you won't be seeing many of these on the 'Approved Items for sale' forum!

I HATE YOU ALL!! ( Not really, of course)

I ordered mine nearly two weeks ago (along with Sanctum, Kioku and an Outlaw Wallet)...and there's still no sign of them

I know that shipping from the US sometimes takes a while....but two weeks, and still no sign??!

Now - STOP POSTING GUSHING POSTS about this kit....I can't stand being teased like this

Wohoo!

Thanks Rick...wasn't getting at you bud, mainly at the time the USPS take to delivery 'International Priority Mail' (quotes 6-10 days on their site, though, so I guess I'm just being like a kiddie at Christmas time   ).

It's been a while since my last TM review, and I think I'm just suffering from withdrawal symptoms
