Torn Deck

I discovered a very old magic book, that has old english spells in it and fables....It also explains an old way of doin the torn deck as seen on David Blain Street Magic....I have tried these instructions but to little results.......Without giving it away, if anyone has any chef ideas on if im doin this wrong please could you help.........

Errm....it might help a little if you could tell us the TITLE of your 'Very Old Magic Book, with Spells and Fables in it'?

Without wishing to sound rude, it's could seem like you're finshing for an expo.... :shock:

Havnt got a clue of the title to be honest, I dont even think its got a cover.........got it from my Uncles Auction house.......In not fishing for EXPO at all, i know what I need to do hence the clue in my previous post, I thought it was obvious that I know how to do it, I just understand after the prep work why its not working..................

ok there is a very good method in the encyclopedia of card tricks page 400 which gives you ways to tear a prepared and unprepared deck
