Hi Owens, welcome to the board.

Yes it is a good trick, but the idea of this board does not include giving away the secrets of how tricks are done, so don't take it personally but no one will answer your question.

All the best

8) 8) 8)
he uses transendental meditation and molecular displacement your basic magic principles.

david "i dont use camera tricks" blaine showed some fairly good magic, but his use of off camera ploys tended to put me off.
a good example is his go twenty feet away and write something down then fold it small, bring it back i'll burn it and it will apear on my d'''k, the off camera bit being that this is not the first time she has written the name / word the first one being ripped up by blain beforehand

a shame he feels he needs to resort to thease tactics to maintain his mystical persona.

i wonder how many i'll guess your number people he failed to show??.
of course he has to do his tricks in america because they are preconditioned to give volumes of amased reactions, over hear he would get a mild clap and mabey a few polite nods for his 1" levitation off the ground, oh sorry its several feet filmed over the shoulder of one spectater suitably reacting????.

i like blaines magic he has done a lot of good for street magic camera tricks sorry editing for artistic liscence not withstanding.

on a sub note did'nt blaine have a lot of trouble with that coffee cup given to the homeless man.

have to agree with everything magicdiscoman said, the only advice i would give is to watch closely most of blaine tricks i worked out for my self just watching closely and i meen close, once you get the idea of what is actually happening, you should find them relatively easy to work out.

Hmm Silver shadow,

I know how he did the trick, but really don't think I could have figured it just by watching him.

this trick is workoutable.... but only if you have a million dollar budget and know how a certain french magician did this trick a hundred years ago or so

Mog's right.

The other point to mention is my now tired Sherlock Holmes quote:

If you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable must surely be the truth

Well then, he's not REALLY pushing his arm through the glass...

With the knowledge you've already got about such things (think Penetration Frames) - you just need to think a little bit 'out of the box'.

As mentioned above - with the right budget, this could be done *almost* anywhere on any window - but the setup is reasonably costly.

i think mr malo is trying to make the point that had he not died in the war which i asume was by conscription he would have made a good magician and been credited with this illusion.
are the impetuism of youth which is sadly lacking on this board strikes again.
take life not so seriousely we are too soon in the grave ourselves, my magic history is more rusty than a five bob note, so i cant dispute this statement, save to say that it sound's credable.

any takers out there.

mog what about the preceeding coment about the history of the trick??
surly the last part should have been edited for taste and decency but what about the rest, was that historicaly accurate??

IMHO The whole posting was suspicious, not to say offensive in style and content hence it was easier to delete than try to edit. If I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up and apologise! :)
