So what is the actual effect? Isn't it where you take a picture of an open area, but when the picture loads, there's a silhouette in the background? Or is the silhouette in the screen the whole time?

Can the spectator watch you take the picture? For that matter, can they be in the picture?

I've heard so much about this effect I don't know what to believe. If someone could just briefly describe a few things you can do with this trick, I'd appreciate it.
