Atom. Yet again i am sorry you feel that the material is not for you. There was simply too much material to place on one dvd so 2 was needed. I understand your sceptasism but I feel you should put your focus where your mouth is at times and also put your mind where you focus is.

Be safe buddy

I dont want to get into a sad forum based slanging match here, especially with you alan. But one thing i would say is that on any other type of review discussion forum, e.g. film, you wouldn't get a director coming on the board to critcise peoples opions after they've recieved a few negative comments about their work. scare tactics from BBM.

free your mind alan- there is no spoon

It's quite refreshing when you actually get people who were involved with the creative process behind productions, and the stars themselves, posting and answering questions on forums.

I'm sure we would have all liked the chance to question George Lucas about the reasoning behind Jar Jar Binks!

Alan... you have infected me with CUPS, and I am heading over to BBM to make several purchases. You have my thanks.

yes that true to an extent, but as a basic example of the problem with that, imagine a a review said a film was bad for various reason, and the director came along and posted ' it isn't bad, you just didnt understand it'

Im waving the flag for freedom of speech

I have had this kind of problem with an arrogant magic shop owner, but I don't think Alan is being unreasonable here and is just answering criticism quite contructively.

..and i think you'll find film directors behave very, very badly...banning certain journo's from film reviews/interviews/and so on...same with music people...lou reed hates the majority of interviewers and writers for the music press...

and they do say "well, you dont understand it then..."

your markings for the stuff, i don't think anyone will be silly enough to say "you can't say that..."; cos its a personal view...however, to say its all kinda underhand sly reviewing and so on..well, thats a little niave to think that companies dont send out review copies of material, it doesnt mean they have a hand in the review...certainly not in this case...

i find the music annoying on most BBM dvds for instance, with the exception of 2FACED, i never buy anything just from the initial review either (unless i share the same tastes as the reviewer) - and remember, plenty of others have bought their stuff and posted their thoughts too...

unless you think alot of people get preview copies and are all posting just to make you buy one? :D

I think Rob, like myself, tries to be honest with his reviews. If you reviewed something that was rubbish and people bought it because you recommended it, they'd never listen to another word you say again.

I got a lot of flak from a magic retailer because I gave one of their products a bad - but honest - review. If something is good, I will say so but I couldn't lie about a bad product.

Reading Rob's past reviews, he does seem to be someone you can trust to be honest.

Im not trying to get into a slagging match. I thanked you for your opinion and i even hope future products of my own will suit your needs but You brought down how i talk. Im not denying you your opinion. Just telling you to have more respect for how other people present themselfs. My problem is not with your review. That is your opinion and your entitled to it. But you do not know some one from watching them on a dvd nor does this give you the right to mock how they talk. Re read over the threads and you will see my point.... Now yet again i will thank you fo your review. and i will also ask you to put the focus where your mouth is.

Hope this clears things up

Alan
