Do you mean freeze it in ice? If you do, I have the perfect solution with an effect I created called Cold Hard Cash where a signed coin vanishes an appears frozen in ice on the ground.. you can get it for free at www.magiczine.com in the free How Bizarre Ebook.

Hope this helps, and welcome to TM.

not entirely sure what you mean, but been theorising about an idea for a while that would encase a coin or any small object in a block of "ice". The only trouble is the ice is not ice and is not cold, but it is solid with no way of the coin getting in or out, 100% guaranteed. And it looks like ice. I am not sure about the logistics of this, and involves a certain amount of experiemtning with sciencey stuff.

Is this anything like what you are talking about?

The easiest way to instantly freeze water is with liquid nitrogen.

Failing that, an air duster does a reasonable—if slow—job.

Hmmm - not too sure ho you'd manage to come up with 10 different spellings, but it works fine for me (remember to capitalize the first letter though  )

 This thread makes me laugh for some reason

You can buy liquid nitrogen through welding supply shops. Look in the Yellow Pages or your countries equivalent under "welding supplies" or "welding equipment and supplies". Be forewarned that they may not want to sell small quantities (less than 50 gallons), so check before you spend money on containers ( Yes, you will have to buy containers to store the liquid nitrogen, and you cant buy small cans from shopping stores, you need the BIG ones )

If there is a college near you, they may be able to give you some. Call the college's Physics Department.

Check out Engineering & Welding Supplies Ltd, Westmorland Street, Hull, HU2 OXH who have depots across the UK. Also BOC and Air Products/Air Liquide depots stock this stuff for industrial purposes. Whether they'll sell it to individuals is something you'd have to ask them, there are probably lots of Health and Safety implications.
