Specific question about the Paintbrush Change

Postby Marvo Marky » Sep 1st, '07, 19:35

I wonder if anyone can help me with the paintbrush change.

This is not the original Walton version, it's a slight variation.

I saw Jerry Sadowitz at the fringe, and he performed "Thanks to Hofzinser" which is a bit like "Everywhere and Nowhere" but applied to signatures on the backs. It's in His "Cards on the Table".

The problem I'm having is that the change is reversed: The signed back has to be exposed throughout the entire change which means that Instead of simply 'leaving one behind' as normal (under the cover of the top card) you have to drop one at an angle. At it's worst, there are 45 degrees between the two halves of the d*****.
This means that it's incredibly angle sensitive and I've begun to doubt that it's the correct move.
What's worse, it exposes over my favourite angle.

Help! Am I doing this right? Do you have any tips?

Regards

Mark.
