ESP effects

Postby kitaristi0 » Sep 4th, '07, 16:33

I just received my beautiful new Sanctum 2 card and have been playing around with it for a couple of hours now. On the front of the card are printed the 5 basic ESP shapes (circle, cross, wavy lines, square, star). I'm looking for effects that can be done with nothing more than a card with the five shapes printed on them. There are a few effects mentioned in the provided instructional booklet. The first part of Banachek's ESP Opener (PSI Series Vol 1) is one example of the kind of thing I'm looking for.

Another option is to take other ESP effects and adapting them to this, so recommendations of books or other sources with lots of ESP effects would also be appreciated.

What about beyond esp 2 and making a routine out of the card and that. Plus you have variations because you can use the beyond esp deck on it's own if you felt like it.

I've been looking at Beyond ESP 2 and while it does sound good I'm not sure I want to carry around a whole deck of cards. Sanctum is so convenient since I can just carry it around in my wallet and I'm trying to keep it simple.

Sanctum 2 and ESP

Postby Dr.Spirit » Sep 4th, '07, 18:11

The ESP symbols are on the card as a simple test of the subject's suitability to continue further into the deeper mysteries.

As alluded to in the book, the actual ESP symbols are far more arcane and occult (in the true sense of the word) than we believe them to be.

I will post more information regarding this on the Outlaw Effects Sanctum2 forum within the next four days. This information is only for the eyes of those who possess the card.

I will give this much out here - A non-permanent marker is very useful! The card can be used for the revelation of almost any ESP routine.

As to Belond ESP2 - If you do not have this, you are really missing something, I think this little pack is one of the most effective and versatile tools you can have - and they will work superbly with Sanctum2.

I echo the sentiments regarding Beyond Esp 2. What can be done with these cards will blow you and then your spectators away.
Combining it with other effects such as Sanctum 2 will make for a very strong performance. I have astounded people for 20 minutes solid just using Beyond Esp2 which apart from the unique identifying system, is a good quality deck of Esp cards which can be used for other effects using these symbols.
Mind, Myth and Magick and the Tarbell course both have effects using these cards. If you're worried about carrying around a whole deck, BE2 has 2 decks of just 25 cards each, so 25 is a lighter number of cards to carry around.

Also, for the price you receive a booklet with some fantastic routines and extra gaff cards. It really is good.

I was thinking along the same lines. Also, a grease pencil/china marker should write on/wipe off plastic just fine, which is kind of the opposite method, but the same effect! I don't have Sanctum (yet) to test, but it should be OK.

Never mind carrying 25 cards, you can do a couple of nice routines with just ten cards from Beyond ESP (or even five).

As well as predicting which symbol out of five they would pick, you can do something a bit more ambitious tell them that they are to put the five symbols into any order they choose, but first you will mark a prediction on your card.

You do so, then put the grease pencil down. They choose one card as the first, then another and so on. You turn Sanctum round, to reveal that you've numbered the symbols on it in the correct order.

If anyone's not following me, they've not read the right books. :)
