Pressure fan flourish -- tips appreciated

Postby SpongeBallSlight-of-hand » Sep 5th, '07, 08:03

Could someone please tell me if I'm doing the pressure fan right, I can't get it very even and this is the first time I've done the pressure fan. I don't know why I can't make the fan "full". A compete 360 degree fan.

Thanks!

PS: I'm trying to learn all types of flourishes. So far I've mastered the coin roll, workign on the coin roll down thumb fan and pressure fan.

Thanks

I want my fan to look like this:

Point a:
It's quite hard to do a near-360 pressure fan

Point b:
Your pressure fan looks totally wrong. There's some odd double-layering going on.

Point c:
You can do a 360 without using a pressure fan. Read more books on flourishes if you need it THAT badly! Or, get the Jeff McBride DVDs on Card Manipulations.

Try giving it more preassure, you're not really bending those cards.

With new cards, more pressure is ideal but when the cards are very worn, I don't use much pressure and instead, allow the cards to spring into position.
