My coin matrix and other coin tricks

Postby Nightmare910 » Oct 23rd, '07, 03:14

Just finished making a collection of my best coin work and looking for a bit of feedback on it. Anyone care to offer their thoughts?

And I tried to find a suitable forum for this, but none of them really seemed to fit for me. If you'd rather this be somewhere else, just move it.

not bad try and let the coin hang when you do the strike vanish with the pen, i know its taught that way but I'm with jay sankey on this one.

over all good, no noticeable gaps or pauses, would be interesting to see you in a real world situation.

Thanks man... you're really the first person to comment on it. It's been hard to get any feedback.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "let the coin hang."

Very nice... especially the matrix..

I agree with MagicDiscoMan... in the strike vanish, what should be happening is the coin stays in space whilst everything else moves... that way, there's no 'throwing' actions.

This was evident in the pen AND the glass trick.

Overall, very nice. But a little jerky and snappy, try be smoother!

Overall I think you are on the right track. I too would like to see you in a real world environment before I say too much. I see what the others are saying about the strike vanish, it appears you are tossing the coin, rather then it vanishes, technique is a little better with the glass. Coin Matrix looks great I think the movements are too fast. Almost like you are rushing through the effect. Please remember that it is just my opinion. I'm very laid back and I like things to be slow and easy. Al Goshman is a great example. I'm not sure how to explain it except to say let the magic happen.

Of course it all depends on personality which is why it is hard to judge in this environment. But keep it up because magically its looking good.

I kind of see what you mean. I've noticed it too and have tried to cut down on the throwing action a little. I'll keep working on it.

Thanks for the feedback.

You don't need to be, I get what you're saying now. I'll definitely try that out.
