Come on guys, let's not turn this into a p*ssing contest...

 Thank you Brother - I got quite a laugh out of that one!

Hugard or Crimmins?

Hugard and Crimmins.

 Okay, now I feel positively stupid. I had thought them two different books (which only goes to show that after 35+ years of being into this stuff, I'm still only learning). Thank you for the clarification, sir.

Rhid., try not to be so defensive. What these guys are trying to tell you is that you were ripped off. I know you don't think that you were and, in the general scheme of things, it is easy to feel that you were not. You paid the price of admission and now you have something that not only works, but is magical.

However, the fact of the matter is, you paid money for someone to regurgitate information that is already out there and has been out there for years. You could have taken the money that you paid for this single piece and spent less, but gotten so much more. You'll find that there is so much in heterogeneous conglomerations that buying these singular tricks is really a waste of money.

But, then again, some guys just don't realize what they have unless someone actually spells it out to them...Even if you had this effect in the book that is suggested above, you still might not realize the power behind the effect unless you pay someone to actually show you. Please understand, I'm not putting you down for this...I, too, sometimes miss out on the gold until I see someone else using it, then realize that I simply passed on something that had been there, right under my nose, for years. Horses for courses, as it were.

The bottom line is that if you feel you got a fair deal for the money that you paid, then you did.

Mike.

The bottom line is that people will always criticise things such as Psnype on a forum which is populated by 'real' magicians.

I guarantee that Ellusionist and Penguin forums are full of praise for this.

Rhid... At the end of the day, as Mike says, if it floats your boat and does it for you, then fly the flag.

But, if you're seriously into developing your magic skills, take a bit of advice from the words above which people have taken time to give. They're not condecending at all, and one day you MAY just appreciate why they were said.

Rhid, no one is having a go at you...just expressing a different opinion thats all...

there's plenty of methods too that dont involve asking someone to do what's asked in the dvd too, and you can still tell them what card they have...

if you stick to a few classics, in book form, you'll save yourself a fortune!
