....when balck ice is about guys so be careful. I was on my way home last night and had to brake suddenly... all was ok until I hit the ice and began to fishtail and ended up in the barrier at about 40 mph.
Thankfully I walked away without even a bruise but the vans a complete write off and insured third party only. I went back this morning to tow it away but it had already been removed so I'll probably get a knock on the door later too!!
So watch out in the dark you lot...... it could have been much worse!!

This is true.... I have a scratch on my leg and face but they came from stumbling in the dark through the ditch and bushes to get to a safe spot.
Pride is dented but I am fine when it could easily have been so much worse.... glad it was a dual carriageway with no other traffic.

Crikey! You sound very composed for someone who's just had a nasty accident and wrecked their van. If it was me I'd be gibbering mess.
Glad you're okay.

I am rather deflated and shell shocked but I walked away without even a muscle twinge or any whiplash etc. I'm gutted about the van as it is my only means of transport but it can be replaced eventually...... I however can't so it's good to be in one piece!!

Dangerous stuff, that black ice. I'm glad that you were alright, Jordan.
