Thanks for the forks Marvo Marky they arrived today. They are a bit too soft, which is a real shame :(. One day we will find the perfect fork!!!

I don't know if there is such a thing as too soft, the ones Morgan uses in Liquid Metal are quite literally like paper. I suppose if you're going to hand them out it would help if they were a bit stiffer though.

I hadn't realised that I posted my address in the thread but note that Tony has it in a quote. I've emailed Tony to edit but if a MOD comes along sooner could I ask that you edit it out asap

Thanks

Yes if it looks like Dali could have painted it.

I think if it is too soft when handed to the spectator to handle then they will immediately test it out for strength. If it bends too easily for them then you really have to sell the effect alot more.
This is the reason why I have found that using tescos forks (although a pig to get to work) has a far reaching effect on the spectator.

The forks Im using at the moment are lush, they are strong so stand up to any examination, however certain (may I word it as) "areas" on the fork will bend and twist as needed, with the right no how........

Ive yet to use these new forks at a gig, but I shall be using them 7th of December for a job in a crypt that I have..........If I feel they are up to performance standard then I shall let you know were to get them x

Yes this is what I had suspected, perhaps not to everyone's taste.

I think I'll use them as 'trainer forks' until my skill builds.

Thanks for the forks. Unfortunately I found them too 'springy' for some one handed moves and too brittle for the corkscrew. I'm fast running out of the perfect old Asda ones :(

I also got mine and found thew same - too brittle for the corkscrew but otherwise they were fine for the rest.

....So the search continues.

I was wondering whether Walmart in the States still sells the forks recommended in liquid metal (the old asda ones). If this is the case then surely there would be some resourceful Colonial who could buy large batches and sell them on to us lot with a small premium added.

I know I'd certainly be interested in buying quite a few
