Absolutley fantastic and interesting book, just finished this, this morning befor going to work and was a bit sad to see the back page. JIm Steinmeyer has done a great job of weaving the story of the while thing together.
Cheers Dale for the thread, would have never have found this book without it.

i cannot recommend this book highly enough... i had to order it from the states, but it was totally worth it... as a historical examination of magic and it's many proponents it's absolutely compelling... these early magicians had such amazingly inventive minds... it's a must have for any magic fan!
