After seeing the Ricky Jay clip in a recent thread I spent about an hour trolling youtube watching everything of his I could find. I did a quick google search but couldn't find out whether he has released any magic related books/DVDs etc. Has he published anything, and if yes what are your thoughts on it?

He has a few published books I believe. His most well known book - Cards as Weapons - sells for price ranges of about $200 - $600.

And Cards as Weapons isn't magic effects it teaches you how to throw cards and use them as, well, weapons. You have probably seen the video on YouTube of him throwing a card at a rolled card on top of a glass. I believe it's things like this that are taught in the book. I could be wrong but that's what I think is taught.

And if you buy anything of his, be prepared to put in years of practise. He didn't get the nickname "The Master" by accident!

Mike Jay's article on Ricky Jay's material, and why you're not going to see it for sale.

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking

Ricky Jay is my personal favourite card man. What I love about him, is that when i watch him (mostly on youtube unfortunately, for the lack of any dvds on him) I'm just as fascinated (if not more so) with him as I am with his magic.
The one book I do own by him is not a book of tricks, but is an excellent read is...

Ricky uses some of these themes in his effects. And check out who did the review at the bottom. A steal at £8.
