Can someone help me understand this piece of text better? Can someone possibly rephrase it?

'Turn the deck face up dealers grip. With thumb on top of the deck. now here comes the easy bit bring your right hand to the deck as to square it up, but at the same time the left thumb pulls the top card back into the thumb croch. now the hard bit the flat side of the right hand little finger comes down on the second card and slides it out from the deck into a palm with the card being held by the ring finger from the left hand. now the right hand comes back over the deck dropping the card of as squaring up the deck.
and that is it.'

Not sure what the problem is...you are palming out the second card into the right hand.

It is crotch.. and is it the centre bit of flesh at the base of the thumb where it bends.

I have been interested and doing quite a bit of card magic for a few months. I have bought a lot of dvds and a couple of books regarding card sleights. I am going to go to my home country at Christmas eve and I wish to entertain some relatives with some card sleights. This one looks promising but I don't understand the second half of it.

What is a thumb croch?

I think by 'thumb crotch', the text is referring to the second phalanx of your thumb - the joint where your thumb meets your palm.
