Entourage V Twisted Sisters

Postby deanos123 » Jan 24th, '08, 18:18

I already own Entourage, and think this is an amazing paxket trick, however, i have seen which looks like a very similar trick, twisted sisters.

Is it worth purchasing twisted sisters, is there much of a difference for it to warrent me buying this trick? I don't want to buy it to find that it is just a slight variation of entourage.

There are loads of previous posts about Twisted Sisters so if you check out the Search Function you'll get lots of opinions for and against. Best of luck!

To actually answer your question, the tricks are quite similar in effect on a layperson but personally I'd say it's worth having both. I had an argument with the irritating little twerp in Davenports about it which went something like this:

Me - Oh Entourage, that's like Twisted Sisters isn't it?

Twerp - No.

Just "No," I hasten to add, nothing to back it up and no other comment. As if his word was all that was needed.

Me - Yes it is, to a layperson.

Twerp - No. Entourage is a thought of card being revealed as the only one in the packet, Twisted Sisters is a thought of card transposing between packets.

Me - Yeah ok you can split hairs but I bet if you showed both of them to someone they'd describe them roughly the same afterwards.

Twerp - No.

I left soon after this but the point is (and I stand by it) that both tricks have broadly the same appeal. You certainly wouldn't want to do both in the same set. Method wise they're pretty different but the difficulty is about the same. Personally I think Twisted Sisters is a little cleaner and better overall as it has more climaxes and looks that slight bit impossibler, if that's a word.

thankyou, seens to be a trick i need to buy then make up my own mind about it, but that information is much appreciated.

By the way 'impossibler' isn't a word in the dictionary. But maybe it should be?

I own both these tricks and I think it's worth getting TS, even if you already own Entourage.

Both are examples of the finest packet tricks you will ever perform and both will get fantastic reactions. Yes, the effects are vaguely similar, but the main difference is that TS can be performed for two spectators. And when you consider that TS is available for as little as £7, there really is no excuse not to get it!

I think TS is better for overall presentation and impact...the story can be built up...it plays well with couples and has a double climax...so it gets my vote over Entourage...

Although they are both very similar and you would never perform them for the same set of people, I find they are both excellent and both worthwhile in any magic arsenal.

I find entourage is best suited for walk around or larger table hopping environments. - it can be done easily in the hands with every one standing up and plays very well as a compatibility test between a couple.

I do think that Twisted Sister is the better effect of the two, but can be confusing if you don't take your time over it. It needs you to take that time and to play with the presentation, but it is well worth it. I prefer using twisted sister for more intimate groups of people and is not so well suited for walk around magic.

They are n my opinion both very worth while. If I was told I could only keep one? Actually I am not going to answer that. I have both and I use both and I am very happy with that...
