My mate chose the wrong coin

If the spec chooses the wrong coin, I say

"Dont worry , I will keep that, your chosen one, safe for you and nothing will happen to it, however I can't guarantee what might happen to the other one" to stop them dwelling on it I then let them know that what's about to happen isn't likely to hurt (much), but if they feel anything uncomfortable happening they should ask me to stop. That gets their apprehension up as really they don't know what's going to happen.

The force is travelling in the wrong direction Luke. Do it slowly right in front of your face and you'll see why and which way you need to send your force.

Also doing it within the same group of people a few times, perhaps friends down the pub, I strangely find that it isn't doesn't always happen to the same coin. That keeps them guessing.

I wondered if anyone knew what the blobs of glue (of which you receive 8 with Coinvexed) are called & where you can buy more of them. I'm down to my last.

Ifyou go into WH Smiths and buy some glue spots then these will do nicely.

You can get the UHU ones of the ones from the people that make Blue Tack (think it may be Bostick)

Make sure that the gimmick is at room temperature before you begin to stick on the glue spots, preferably a little warm. They don't seem to like being stuck to cold metal for some strange reason.

The glue spots are a bit pants Im afraid!

Use industrial strengh glue!

I personally wouldnt superglue the coins on. I find after a lot of use the coins get extremely tarnished, more than an average coin used would.

I stick to the glue dots and give the gimmick a change every couple of weeks.

Just polish the coins with a metal polish and then put them in a coin box!!!!

I agree, gluing them on seems a bit permanent especially when we are coming up to a change of coin design. The glue blobs have lasted a couple of months of constantly being in my pocket. I cut down on the number needed by using another 'copper' coin instead.

Glue dots are better if you want to take it on holiday and change from sterling to Euro's or other currency, and then back again when you get home.

Industrial strength glue tends to be sold in industrial size quantities so unless you know anyone that can get you a bit then youhave a problem. Also, get the wrong glue on the gimmick and it may not stick and will prevent anything else from being used.

This product has been tried and tested long before it's launch in February, I know as I had one of the early copies. There isn't a need to change from glue spots to permanent glue. You will make more problems for yourself than you solve.

Nope I disagree...the movement on the coins is to much when ur bending with the dots...Ive had mine solid and fixed....for a few months and they are much better...better grip etc...doesnt matter bout coin change since the spec doesnt examine those coins anyway!!!!!! And have u had a spec ask to see them! I think not!

I'm a glue gun man myself! You know, the sticks that you melt... Stronger than the dots but still removable any time you want.
